Local Councils are one of your best first stops for getting involved in your local community and having your say in the future of where you live. Your local council is always looking for input and there are many tools available to do so. Here's some of the ways you can get involved in the West:

Maribyrnong:

The City of Maribyrnong has a nifty new app you can download on your phone for reporting issues, accessing news and events, finding local facilities and more. Those in Maribyrnong might also want to check out the latest round of community grants which are open until September 30th. There's a range of grants available so if you're running a local group it's good to check the grants out! Braybrook residents or frequent visitors to Braybrook might also want to have your say on the local transport survey. You will go in the draw to win a printing voucher from local social enterprise Print Side Up! Survey closes on August 25th so get on it quick!

Hobsons Bay:

Hobsons Bay residents should check out the new online portal Participate Hobsons Bay. Here you can check out all of the local issues Council is consulting on, and connect with the Hobsons Bay social media accounts.

Brimbank Council:

Like Maribyrnong, Brimbank has a dedicated app for Council services which you can download here. And for more ways to get involved and have your say you can visit their website.

City of Moonee Valley:

City of Moonee Valley has a dedicated section on their website for having your say on local issues and getting involved in the direction of the area.

All of the councils above are involved in the My Smart Garden program and have dedicated officers in each Council. My Smart Garden is getting ready to launch a dedicated website with all local events. news and resources so keep an eye out for that. In the meantime you can search your local council website for My Smart Garden events in your area.
