Find out about fauna in your local waterway Have you ever wanted to know more about the native animals that live in your local area? Two of our more common waterway inhabitants, frogs and rakali (Australia’s
version of the otter) live fascinating lives and are an important part of our aquatic ecosystems.

Rohan Long Melbourne’s Frogs
Rohan Long from the Melbourne Water Frog Census will present on the various life cycles of the frogs of Melbourne, and the specialised adaptations which have seen frogs walk (and hop) the earth since the age of the dinosaurs.

Bob Tammik Rakali
Bob Tammik has been involved in rakali research for almost 10 years and has spent many nights searching for these rarely seen aquatic mammals and developing some amazing insights into the lives of these intriguing creatures.
