This is the first of what we hope will be monthly food swaps* at YCC’s Blackwood Street House (adjacent to Beaton Reserve), taking place on the first Sunday of each month.
We’ll also host a conversation before the swap starts, on gardening, permaculture, sustainability and related topics. These talks will run from 9.45am for a 10am start. The swaps will run from 10.30-11.30am.
The focus for this month’s discussion is on SOURDOUGH BREADMAKING, led by Sarah Rickard and others from POW (Permaculture Out West) and YOBBO (Yarraville Organic Baking & Brewing Outfit).
There’ll be some sourdough starter available for you to take home – and please bring your starter if you have any. They each tend to have their own characteristic flavour and behaviour!
