An opportunity for permaculture enthusiasts of all levels of knowledge and desire to learn to come together to share skills and techniques about permaculture design. These sessions provide an opportunity to share what we know and practice what we learn.

This FREE session will focus on the early stages of the design process – specifically, site analysis. We'll be sharing and practising techniques about mapping a site – eg measuring, triangulating, contour mapping, determining sun and wind and other sectors. If you have groovy and techy surveying equipment (eg laser level tripods), let us know and bring them along!

A wide variety of stages of permie experience is encouraged to participate. Some of us will already have a PDC (permaculture design certificate), some may be undertaking a course, others will have some awareness or experience in permaculture and want to take part in a structured unfolding of learning more about design process, and others may just want to learn about permaculture and how it applies to their own backyard and perhaps the wider world.

Note: We'll be right next to the Substation where the Farmers Market and Artists Market will be held that same day. Permaculture, local food and arts – all in the one day!

This session is part of an ongoing series initiated through Transition Hobsons Bay, supported by Permaculture Out West and taking place on International Permaculture Day (3 May 2015). RSVP at the Facebook event page:
