Have you checked out the Werribee Heritage Park Orchard yet? It’s the most amazing little spot out the back of the Werribee Mansion which dates back to the 1800s. There’s an incredibly dedicated little team down there who keep the place going and it is well worth a visit.
Luckily they’ve got a great free event coming up that you should definitely get in the calendar. Not only will you get to visit the orchard and check out all the old trees but you can learn yourself some grafting skills while you’re there. There’ll also be some heirloom trees for sale, check this page for a list of available varieties.
