Have you heard there’s a new community garden coming to Maribyrnong? There’s plenty of activity happening there over the next few weeks and heaps of ways to get involved and learn some new techniques.

The community garden working bees are being organised to develop the garden, provide opportunities to meet other gardeners and share skills. The activities will involve wicking bed construction, orchard planting, shared garden bed construction and developing the children’s area.

Each session will include a free hands on gardening workshop and lunch. Workshop activities will be advertised on the garden gates.

Where:

The old bowling green at the corner of Hortense St and Raleigh Rd Maribyrnong (behind the Raleigh Rd Activity Centre, former Maribyrnong RSL)

When:

10am – 2pm on:

Saturday 2 June
Saturday 16 June
Saturday 30 June
Sunday 1 July
