Come to an exciting workshop that combines how to grow and cook Asian vegetables.

This workshop will explain the different growing requirements of a variety of tropical Asian vegetables anyone can grow in their back yard. Learn how to propagate Asian vegetables you can buy from the Asian grocer. The workshop will focus on vegetables that are usually not found in your nursery such as luffa, sugar cane, choko, long gourd, hair gourd, taro, snake bean, yam, sweet potato, water chestnuts, water spinach, Chinese broccoli, amaranth, holy basil and more. The cooking section will explain how to cook these vegetables. Seedlings will be available for sale.

Part of the workshop fee goes towards the Ashwood College Permaculture Food Garden. Cost is $50 for 4 hours, 2 hours of growing and 2 hour of cooking on Saturday September 24th 2011 at Ashwood College Permaculture Food Garden, Vannam Drive Ashwood.
