From Permablitz Melbourne newsletter
~~ The soundtrack to this Permablitz newsletter is Michael Franks’ Eggplant (cheesy as the song is, it inspired us to try raw eggplant with mayonnaise. surprisingly good) ~~
Welcome back to your computers after a beautiful sunshiny longweekend. We’ve got some excitement in store after this short work week: Next Sunday is National Permaculture Day! To celebrate, we’ve got a makeover (pretty much a permablitz) lined up at the Children’s Garden Kindercare in Albert Park. And then after that, head up to the Darebin Arts & Entertainment Centre to join us for the much anticipated screening of the new documentary ‘The Economics of Happiness’. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with producer & director, Helena Norberg-Hodge, pioneer of the localisation movement. For more info, click here.
In other news, we’ve been getting emails from people wanting to set up permablitz networks in other parts of Australia and the world. Most recently, there’s been Permablitz Istanbul, Permablitz Portugal, Permablitz Philadelphia, Permablitz Gauteng in South Africa, Permablitz Calgary in Canada… and so on… and on… how’s that for a global localisation movement!
But coming back home, here’s some local blitzes and related events for you…
