This year’s apple festival will be held on Sunday 27th March, 10 AM – 4 PM. We need lots of volunteers, particularly if 3,000+ people turn up, as they did in 2010.
The major volunteering job is to work in the tasting tent, cutting apples. It’s not a difficult or dangerous job, and there’s training and assistance given. As a volunteer, you gain free entry, and we give you plenty of free time to go on an orchard tour, listen to the music, enjoy some lunch, etc. We’ll send you home tired but satisfied, with a big bag of juicy apples under your arm. There are other volunteer jobs to do, which we can let you know about if you’re interested, e.g. selling apples.

At our regular working bees on Sunday 6th February and Sunday 6th March, 10 AM – 1 PM we will be picking apples for sale at the festival. There will be other picking times, mostly 5.30 – 7 PM, with dates depending on what is ripe at the time.

Please contact John Pinniger  (J.Pinniger@latrobe.edu.au) or leave a message at our websitewww.heritagefruitssociety.org if you are available at any of these times – we’d love to see you there – the orchard is looking fantastic and there’s lots of fruit.
