Just to let you know that the garage sale was very successful. We made a total of $535.55.
We’ll be donating 10% of it to a local charity (I’m a believer in giving 10% of income to charity. Share it around!). If you have any names of local charities, please pass them on. There’s an interesting one called BookStart, started by the Footscray Rotary Club in conjunction with the Maribyrnong council.
Thanks very much to all who helped make it successful – Delia, Nyree, Candice, Willie and Mel to name a few.
And a very big thankyou to Mel and Dave, who kindly allowed us to use their front yard for the garage sale.
Candice and I have a few ideas for the next fundraiser. We plan to run some sort of fundraiser once a month, aiming to make bits of money consistently.
Now it’s a matter of what we can do with the money.
